Have an App or SaaS Idea? Start Here.
How to turn a rough idea into something a developer can build — without wasting money on features nobody uses.
What should I prepare before building an app?
Write down who it's for, the one problem it solves for them, and how they solve that problem today. That's more useful than a long feature list.
What is an MVP?
A minimum viable product is the smallest version that real users can try, so you learn what matters before spending on everything else.
What does a developer need from me?
Not code or technical specs. A developer needs:
- The users, and what each type of user needs to do
- The steps someone takes from sign-up to getting value
- Examples of tools you like or compete with
- Your budget range and any deadline
How do I organize a SaaS idea?
List the core actions users take, group them into a few screens, then mark each feature as must-have or later. Most ideas shrink by half — that's a good sign.
What should version one include?
Only what's needed for a user to get the main result: sign-in, the core workflow, and a way to pay if you're charging. Everything else can wait.
